Review
The Wilton Rancheria Resort & Casino Project is a proposed casino development off Highway 99 in Elk Grove in Sacramento County planned for a portion of the site of an outlet mall/The Outlet Collection at Elk Grove. The build, which reportedly includes a casino, 302-room and suite hotel and convention center and more, is expected to cost the tribe and partner Boyd Gaming $400 million.
On October 3, 2025, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill ratifying a compact between the state of California and the Wilton Rancheria allowing 2,500 slot machines. In the most recent decision, in early March 2025, a judge dismissed a challengeby casino opponents, including “Stand Up for California” and local cardroom owners, to a federal decision that placed 35.9 acres into a trust for the tribe in Jan. 2025.
