The Golden Gate originally opened as a hotel in Las Vegas in 1906 at One Fremont Street. They received the first phone number in town, you simply had to dial “1” to get the hotel desk. They roared through the 1920`s, into the Rat Pack era, and now they welcome you to a new experience in the 21st Century. It had been 50 years since their last major renovation and now the place is a sight to be behold. They added a 35,000 square foot tower housing luxury suites, expanded the gaming floor, and completely retrofitted the property. The casino now features a high limit gaming pit with dancing dealers – in fact you will see the Golden Gate Girls in all their glory almost everywhere in the casino, and on the street if you are lucky. This property now qualifies as a boutique hotel. If you want all of the excitement and action a more intimate venue than you can find on the Strip, Golden Gate may well become your home away from home in Las Vegas.
